Instructor Bios
Leslie Larch, BFA,
Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor
After
a successful career as a professional dancer,
Leslie Larch obtained a BFA in Dance at Cornish
College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. She taught
dance for many years while continuing her education
through Western Washington University to acquire
a Washington State Teaching Certificate. She
then worked as a Dance Specialist in the Vancouver
Washington School District.
A serious foot injury spurred a long time
interest in pilates training. The shattered
sesamoid bone in her foot required that she
spend 13 months in a cast and on crutches. Though
she was unable to walk during this time, it
was then that she discovered a passion for,
and an ability to move through, the Pilates
exercise system. In March, 2004, after extensive
training in the STOTT PILATES
method, she opened Island Pilates Center located
on Whidbey Island in Langley, Washington.
Leslie Larch is a Certified STOTT
PILATES Mat & Reformer instructor.
